Arsenal defender to undergo medical today ahead of completing move to Premier League club
ARSENAL defender Calum Chambers is reportedly set to undergo a medical with Middlesbrough today ahead of a season-long loan switch.
Arsene Wenger made Chambers available for a loan move last week.
Wenger’s decision came after he agreed a deal to bring Valencia's Shkodran Mustafi to the Emirates to help ease the Gunners' defensive injury crisis.
Middlesbrough moved quickly for Chambers and agreed a deal for the England international yesterday.
And Sky Sports claim he will undergo a medical today ahead of a season-long loan move to Boro.
Chambers moved to the Emirates from Southampton for £16million two years ago.
But his game time has been limited at the north London club.
The 21-year-old started the opening game of the season against Liverpool - a nightmare 4-3 defeat at home - but has not featured since.
And it is now hoped he can gain valuable Premier League experience at the Riverside.
