Gazzetta claim Mourinho (left) could be offered the chance to sign Balotelli
The shock claims come from Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that Balotelli's agent Mino Raiola is working on finding Balotelli a new club.
Serie A side Palermo are thought to be pushing hard on a deal to land the Italy international, while Bologna have also been linked.
It was claimed yesterday that Balotelli was spotted having lunch in Bologna, with a loan deal supposedly being discussed.

Balotelli (left) endured a disappointing stint at AC Milan last season
Gazzetta claim that Ibrahimovic is an 'uncle' figure to Balotelli, having played alongside the frontman under Mourinho when they were at Inter Milan.
Yet a move for Balotelli appears unlikely, given that the striker endured such a miserable campaign at Liverpool two years ago before being shipped out to AC Milan on loan last season.
Balotelli famously scored twice against United in Manchester City's 6-1 triumph over their rivals in October 2011, with the striker revealing his 'Why Always Me?' t-shirt after coming under fire for his behaviour while at City.
