The draw incensed the travelling Arsenal support - who were heard chanting "spend some f****** money" at full-time.
And Wenger has vowed to dip into the transfer market as he aims to get the Gunners' season on track.
"If we find the right player we will not be reluctant to spend big," he said.
"If I just bought someone for £45million will I have done well?"
"I will spend £300m if I find the right player, and we have £300m. But we also have 600 employees and we need to have a responsible attitude as well."
Arsenal confirm talks for Shkodran Mustafi
Wenger has finally confirmed that Arsenal are in talks for Valencia centre-back Shkodran Mustafi.
The Gunners are desperate to sign a new defender with Per Mertesacker and Gabriel currently on the sidelines.
"Mustafi? We hope it will be done," he told French TV station SFR Sport.
Arsenal are currently placing their faith in Laurent Koscielny and Rob Holding, with the latter keeping his place in the side despite a difficult debut against Liverpool last weekend.

Brahimi, who has also been linked with a move to Chelsea, could go for a fee of £35m.
