Lyon see Loic Remy as a potential replacement for Alexandre Lacazette
The French outfit are said to be looking at replacements for Alexandre Lacazette in case he departs this summer.
The Daily Mail claim Lyon are preparing for Arsenal or Paris Saint-Germain to make a late offer for their star man and they see Remy as an ideal replacement.
Arsenal have already seen a £29m bid rejected and Lacazatte fuelled rumours he could leave this summer with his latest comments at the weekend.
He said: “If offers come in that one cannot refuse, I don’t want to refuse them. If not, I am happy at Lyon.”
Lyon sounding out the availability for Remy could prompt other clubs to consider a move with the Frenchman being linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in recent months.
But it appears Lyon will only pursue the 29-year-old if they lose Lacazette to Arsenal or Ligue 1 champions PSG.
Remy struggled to maintain a regular starting spot under Jose Mourinho and Guus Hiddink last term, and with Michy Batshuayi and Diego Costa ahead of him in Antonio Conte's pecking order, his chances of featuring regularly this term look slim.
