Mane followed the well-trodden path taken by Southampton players when he joined the Merseyside outfit in June for a fee of £34m.
The 24-year-old netted 21 goals in 67 Premier League appearances during his time with the Saints.
And Trevor Sinclair thinks the signing of Mane by Liverpool is one of the best pieces of business so far this window.
“For me, I would say Sadio [Mane] could potentially be a super signing for Liverpool,” Sinclair told Express Sport.
“He’s such a top player. He’s very under-rated. It’s what Liverpool needed.

“For me, he could be the missing link for Klopp to get Liverpool back into top four.”
Sinclair also thinks the Reds are well placed to break into the top four this term.
He added: “Liverpool will make it.
