Wellington seals Fluminense return
The Brazil under-21 international arrived at the Emirates in 2010 but spent the first five years out on loan due to work permit issues.
The 23-year-old finally won the right to work in the UK last season but played for Bolton and has now re-joined Brazilian club Fluminense where he started his career.
“My desire to return has always existed.”
Atletico close to Costa deal, claims chief
Atletico Madrid believe they are close to bringing Diego Costa, according to the club’s president.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is understood to want the striker to stay at Stamford Bridge despite a tumultuous season which saw him dropped on multiple occasion.
Gomes is one of a number of players United are tracking this summer
And a return to Atletico, where he made his name, could be seen as an attractive option.
"We like him a lot, I'll admit," president Enrique Cerezo said.
"We are talking to the player and working on him returning to Madrid.
"It's close, but I can't say anymore."
Real Madrid favourites for Gomes
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez's friendship with Valencia owner Pete Lim could seal the deal for Andre Gomes this summer, according to reports.
According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea and Manchester United have all made bids for the midfielder but the Spanish club are holding out for a fee of £54million.
But Perez could reportedly use unsettled stars Isco and James Rodriguez as bargaining chips in attempt to lower the asking price.
