Liverpool reject £1m offer from Wigan Atheltic for Cameron Brannagan
The 20-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough season for the Reds last term, being handed his debut in the Europa League against Bordeaux before going onto make nine first-team appearances.
And the Liverpool Echo claim Wigan are the latest club to come in for Brannagan.
It is claimed Gary Caldwell's side were willing to pay around £1million to buy Brannagan, but they were informed he was not for sale or available on loan.
Spotlight On Jurgen Klopp
Klopp is said to be a big admirer of the youngster and views him as an important member of the first-team squad.
The report also adds talks over a new long-term deal to keep Brannagan at Anfield are expected to be held in the coming weeks.
This development comes after he triggered a re-negotiation clause in his contract in his fifth Premier League start against West Brom on the final day of last season.
