Sigurdsson scored Iceland's equaliser in their 2-1 victory over England on Monday and was named man of the match.
The 30-year-old is currently contracted at Russian outfit FK Krasnodar.
But the Guardian claim bids from the Premier League could be made this summer.

Meanwhile, his former manager at Copenhagen, Stale Solbakken, has confirmed his interest in the defender but admits the chances of re-signing Sigurdsson are slim following his exploits in France.
"I have a really loose agreement with (Sigurdsson) that he must return to Copenhagen after this season," Solbakken wrote in his column for Danish newspaper BT.
"He has said several times that he would like to (return) but I feel that the agreement has become even looser and is about to slip out of my hands because of what is happening at the European Championships.

"He could be a player that many Premier League clubs would consider to complement their defences. To play such a game against England […] is the best stage one can get."
Discussing Iceland's shock win over England, Solbakken added: "Sigurdsson showed against England what I remember from him in home games against Galatasaray and Juventus in the Champions League, namely that in these big matches he can reach a level that is quite amazing when he keeps his concentration.
"The latter can sometimes be his weakness, but he is a man for the big games."
