Witsel is expecting to leave Zenit after the completion of Euro 2016
Witsel joined Zenit in 2012 from Portuguese side Benfica in a deal worth more than £30million.
And in his four seasons in Russia the Belgium international has racked up more than 150 appearances for the club as well as a league title.
But the 27-year-old revealed earlier this month that he believes his career with the team is over - but he is not sure where he is going.
Juventus are reportedly considering him as an alternative to Valencia midfielder Andre Gomes while Serie A rivals Napoli are also monitoring his situation.
And the Red Devils are not even the only Premier League side in for Witsel.
Incoming boss Antonio Conte is expected to make at least five signings this summer although he will not take over at Stamford Bridge until after the conclusion of Italy’s involvement in Euro 2016.
