Liverpool ready to drop interest in Ben Chilwell: Klopp interested in Brazil international
LIVERPOOL are ready to drop their interest in Ben Chilwell with Leicester remaining firm on their £10million asking price.
Ben Chilwell is a target for Liverpool
The England U21 international made just three appearances for the Premier League champions last season.
But Jurgen Klopp had made him one of his top transfer targets, with concerns over Alberto Moreno's defensive capabilities.
However the Reds have been told they must pay £10m to sign Chilwell.
And the Liverpool Echo say Klopp will pursue other options at left-back unless Leicester drop their valuation of the defender.
Reports in Brazil suggest Atletico Mineiro's Douglas Santos is among the possibilities.
Globo Esporte claim Liverpool have expressed an interest in the left-back, who has made one international appearance and is said to be valued at around £7.7m.
