West Ham have reportedly entered negotiations with Jonathan Calleri
Calleri was bought by the Uruguayan club in January and then immediately sent on loan to Brazilian side Sao Paulo.
Since his arrival in Brazil, the striker has been turning heads and has scored eight goals in 10 appearances for the club.
"Of the latter, I watch Real Madrid and Barcelona and in England, I follow Chelsea and Manchester City."
However, a move to the UK could be delayed as he is still awaiting an EU passport, according to website Sport Witness, which he hopes will be granted through his Italian heritage.
Calleri was born in Argentina but is yet to make a single appearance for the South American country at any level.
