Euro club offer star defender huge new deal: Chelsea and Man United want to sign him
ROMA have offered defender Kostas Manolas a huge pay rise to snub advances from Manchester United and Chelsea, according to reports in Italy.
Roma are willing to increase Kostas Manolas' (left) wages to £2.3m a season
Both Premier League clubs are said to have tracked Greece international Manolas over the latter part of last season.
Roma value the 25-year-old at £30million but would prefer not to sell him after defensive partner Antonio Rudiger suffered a knee injury earlier this month.
And there are claims the Rome club are set to hand Manolas a bumper new deal to prevent him leaving.

Chelsea, in particular, are said to have pushed to land the centre-back as Conte seeks a viable replacement for John Terry, whose contract is up at the end of next season.
United have already signed Eric Bailly from Villarreal but Mourinho is thought to be eying further defenders, with Juventus' Leonardo Bonucci also linked with the Old Trafford club.
