Serie A side reject £23m Chelsea bid for international defender
CHELSEA have had a £23million bid for Kalidou Koulibaly rejected by Napoli, according to reports.
Koulibaly could fetch upwards of £25million this summer
Koulibaly arrived at Napoli in 2014 from Belgian outfit Racing Genk in a move worth just £5.25m.
But the Senegal central defender slotted into the middle of the Italian side's defence immediately and has racked up 81 appearances in all competitions as well as earning his international debut in 2015.
His impressive form this season helped Napoli mount a creditable title challenge only for them to fall away in the latter part of the season and finish second in Serie A, ten points behind Juventus.
John Terry has signed a new deal to keep him at Chelsea but the Italian boss is still expected to add depth at centre-half as the club captain is said to have been given a reduced playing role at Stamford Bridge.
But with Napoli apparently desperate not to sell Koulibaly, Conte may once again be forced to look elsewhere.
