MANCHESTER UNITED look set to miss out on target Robert Lewandowski as the Bayern Munich striker reportedly tries to convince Real Madrid to sign him.

United are said to have been working on a move for Lewandowski since before new manager Jose Mourinho was appointed.
Bayern want €100million (£77m) for their star striker, who was the Bundesliga's top scorer last season with 30 goals.
And Spanish newspaper AS claim the Poland international is willing to instigate the move himself in order to join Real.

Kucharski told German news magazine Spiegel last week: "Real Madrid contacted us a few weeks ago, we listened to everything they said. It's a big and exciting club.
"We have informed FC Bayern that we've held talks with Madrid."
United's interest in Lewandowski began last winter when German newspaper Sport Bild claimed then-manager Louis van Gaal was pushing for a January transfer.
Bayern were reluctant to sell midway through the season as they were still in Champions League contention.
