Michael Carrick is set to be handed a new one-year deal at Manchester United
Carrick, 34, looks like being handed a 12-month contract extension by new boss Jose Mourinho after a decade at the club where he has won five Premier League titles, the Champions League and League Cup.
“When I came here I didn’t envisage being here for so long. I just wanted to establish myself as part of the team. Time flies. To be here for so long and for it to go so quickly is quite frightening.
“I have had some unbelievable times here, achieved some good things and been part of some great teams.”
