Manchester United youngster handed shock international call-up
MANCHESTER UNITED youngster Timothy Fosu-Mensah has been handed his first call-up to the Holland squad.
Timothy Fosu-Mensah has impressed for United since making his debut in February
Fosu-Mensah has impressed this season after being handed his United debut by Louis van Gaal against Arsenal in February.
He has since gone on to make nine appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions.
It had been thought there could be an international tug-of-war for the 18-year-old, with Ghana reportedly keen for the teenager to switch alliegances.
Fosu-Mensah played for the Netherlands at youth level but could have switched to Ghana as his parents were born there.

Fosu-Mensah refused to be drawn on the topic after United's FA Cup semi-final win over Everton, but he now appears to have decided to represent the country of his birth.
Netherlands failed to qualify for Euro 2016, but will face Ireland, Poland and Austria in friendlies before the tournament.
