Revealed: Tottenham's £31.6m bid for this Manchester United star
TOTTENHAM made an audacious £31.6million bid for Anthony Martial last summer, according to reports.
Martial has established himself as an important part of the United line-up
Martial joined Manchester United from Monaco as part of a £61m deal which made him the most expensive teenager in football history.
However, he could have been playing in white not red this season if Spurs had got their way.
Despite having been bought, according to manager Louis van Gaal, for the future, Martial has made 46 appearances for the first team.
His 15 goals make him United's top-scorer in all competitions but Van Gaal's team have been criticised for their defensive football.
