Sam Allardyce: Sunderland won't crack under pressure like Spurs did against Chelsea
SAM ALLARDYCE insists his Sunderland side will not crack under pressure in the way Tottenham did against Chelsea on Monday.
Sam Allardyce's Sunderland are one point behind north-east rivals Newcastle, but have a game in hand
His relegation-haunted side face the deposed champions at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.
"We'll have a full house willing us, cheering us and supporting us to achieve a result and get another miraculous escape and we hope we can deliver," said Allardyce.
"My job is to make sure the players stay focused and are able to produce the performance they need under pressure because if they don't keep the mental side correct, that will be a problem. You saw it in Tottenham when they lost the plot, getting nine players booked and making some quite ferocious tackles."
