Manchester United make breakthrough after reaching £40m agreement for midfielder
MANCHESTER UNITED have moved one step closer to signing Benfica sensation Renato Sanches, according to reports.

The Red Devils have been tracking the 18-year-old for months with Sanches widely regarded as one of Europe's brightest talents.
It is understood there have been difficulties in coming to agreement on a fee for the youngster, but Portuguese newspaper A Bola claim this has now been resolved with United telling Benfica they will pay £40million for him in the summer.

United will face competition to sign Sanches, however, with Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Barcelona all believed to be monitoring his progress.
Sanches has enjoyed a successful season with Benfica and has become a mainstay in the centre of their midfield, making 23 appearances and scoring twice.
