Coach paves the way for Liverpool to sign £12m Alberto Moreno replacement
JONAS HECTOR could be allowed to leave Cologne this summer, according to the German club’s coach.
Jonas Hector has 12 caps for Germany
The 25-year-old, who has 12 caps for Germany, has impressed in the Bundesliga this season.
He is under contract at Cologne until 2018, but has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool as a replacement for Alberto Moreno.
Hector himself admitted last week that he would consider a move to Anfield if he received a call from Jurgen Klopp.
And now Cologne boss Peter Stoger has admitted his club would listen to offers for the left-back, who is available for £12million.
“I don’t have to talk about what may happen in the summer,” Stoger told German magazine Kicker.
“But if somebody should offer us a three-figure million sum, we’d probably give in. If a two-figure million sum is offered, we’d consider it.

“And if Jonas Hector says that he doesn’t want to stay here, we’d have to face up to it.
"When a player like Jonas, who permanently refines himself, is in the spotlight it is just a super story.
“There are worse problems for a club than having to deal with a player maybe leaving the club because he’s in incredible form.”
