The Italian Football Federation (FICG) confirmed earlier today that Conte will step down from his post as Italy boss after the European Championships.
Express Sport understands Conte has agreed an £18million, three-year contract with the Blues.
And according to The Sun, the 46-year-old will begin his work at Stamford Bridge before Euro 2016.
A Chelsea insider said: “This is the buzz around the club. It’s not even been officially confirmed that he will be the new manager but it’s widely thought he’ll be popping over to England to start work on rebuilding Chelsea — mainly to introduce himself and to get cracking.”
With Chelsea’s last game of the season on May 15 and Italy’s pre-tournament warm up game against Scotland on May 29, Conte will head to west London to begin work.
