Express Sport understand Conte's agreement with the Blues will be announced later this month and is set to sign an £18million, three-year contract.
And according to Italian publication Calciomercato, the 46-year-old tactician is willing to spend £30m on Vidal, 28, to strengthen the Blues’ midfield.
Conte previously signed the Chile international at Juventus in 2011 and the pair worked together for three years before he left to manager the Italy national team.
Vidal had the chance to move to the Premier League with Manchester United last summer, but he turned them down to join Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

"Yes, there was a chance to come to England," Vidal told The Times when asked on his offer from Old Trafford. "It was last summer, and at one point, we thought that is what would happen.
"I liked the opportunity that they had offered me, but eventually it did not happen and I chose to come to Bayern. There are always many teams around that go to my agent.”
