Manchester United's midfield transfer boost after Roberto Mancini revelation
MANCHESTER UNITED still have time to hijack Inter Milan's swoop for Sevilla star Ever Banega.
Both Inter and Man Utd reportedly want to sign Ever Banega
Inter were thought to have opened talks with the midfielder ahead of a summer move.
United were linked with the player last month and Italian agency ITA Sport Press claimed they were willing to offer him a £67,000-a-week contract.
And while Inter remain favourites to secure the Argentina international, manager Roberto Mancini says a deal is far from complete.
Ausilio himself confirmed last month that Inter have written to Sevilla regarding a possible transfer.
It was claimed he signed a pre-contract agreement with Inter in February, which he denied.
United's interest in the player appeared to stem from their injury crisis back in January, when manager Louis van Gaal was forced to field makeshift starting XIs.
But the club kept out of the transfer market and will instead wait until the summer to do business.
