FORMER Italy and AC Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso has thrown his hat in the ring to replace Louis van Gaal at Manchester United.

Express Sport understand Louis van Gaal will lose his job in the summer with former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho lined up to succeed him at Old Trafford.
But Gattuso, who currently manages Lega Pro side Pisa, has now thrown his hat into the ring to replace the under-pressure Dutchman.
"I’d walk there. I’d even go tomorrow,” Gattuso told The Sun when asked about taking charge of the Red Devils.
“[Sir Alex] Ferguson has always respected me — and I have always admired the Premier League which, for me, is the best league in the world.
