The Blues interim manager has opted to place attacking midfielder Kenedy at left-back, despite having Baba Rahman - who started against Stoke on Saturday - available to him.
Hiddink has also brought Cesc Fabregas, Pedro and Diego Costa back to his starting XI, with midfielders Nemanja Matic and Oscar and striker Bertrand Traore dropping to the bench.
