Liverpool target agrees pre-contact terms on £4.2m deal
LIVERPOOL have reportedly missed the chance to land full-back Caner Erkin after Inter Milan agreed pre-contract terms to sign the Fenerbahce star this week.
Liverpool reportedly sent scouts to watch Caner Erkin in action
Erkin, 27, is out contract at the end of the season.
It was claimed earlier this month that scouts Dave McDonough and Kevin Hunt had gone to Turkey to watch Erkin play.
The star was free to agree terms with a new club as he is in the last six months of his deal at Fenerbahce.
But it appears either Liverpool were snubbed or no move was ever made for the player, with Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport claiming Inter have secured Erkin's services.
According to the claims, the Turkey international will earn £1.4million a season over a three-year deal at the San Siro.
Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio got the approval from manager Roberto Mancini to secure the left-back, who will arrive for free.
