Spanish newspaper Sport claim both Ronaldo and Ramos have delivered the news in person to Real president Florentino Perez.
Both players have been linked with United, Ronaldo a return to the club he left in 2009 and Ramos being publicly pursued by the Red Devils last summer.
Spanish TV show El Chiringuito originally reported last night that the Portugal striker Ronaldo, 31, and 29-year-old Spain defender Ramos had gone to speak to Perez.
The Sun claim United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea were at The Dorchester in Mayfair to resurrect an old idea to create a European super league.
West Ham co-chairman David Gold told The Telegraph the plan "would destroy football as we know it", adding: "It's so sad that five clubs all owned by foreigners are even considering it."
However, Press Association have since reported that the talks were predominantly about a pre-season tournament.
