Tottenham close in on stunning £40.5m double deal amid Manchester United interest
TOTTENHAM are closing in on new deals for defender Jan Vertonghen and playmaker Christian Eriksen.

That is according to Football Insider, who claim Vertonghen is set to sign a new and improved four-and-a-half-year deal worth £75,000 a week.
The Belgium international, who would earn £17.5million during that period, is currently contracted at the north London club until the summer of 2018.
The 28-year-old, who has been sidelined for the last seven games with a knee injury, has established a formidable partnership with Toby Alderweireld in the heart of Spurs' defence this term.
The north London club are also reportedly confident of tying playmaker Eriksen down to an £80,000-a-week deal which would keen him at White Hart Lane until 2021 - worth £23m.
