Agent confirms no Barca deal for Man Utd target Neymar as 'other offers' come in
NEYMAR'S father and agent has denied his son has signed a new five-year deal with Barcelona.
Neymar's father and agent has confirmed he has not signed a deal with Barcelona
ESPN Brazil yesterday reported the 24-year-old had put pen to paper on a contract in December but it hadn't been announced to due ongoing tax investigations surrounding him and the club.
The report claimed a three-year extension had been agreed, extending his previous deal to keep him at the Nou Camp until 2021.
However, Neymar's father has since rubbished these claims, insisting talks are still ongoing and no deal has been struck with Barca.
It was confirmed the Red Devils had made an approach for Neymar by his father, who told Brazilian radio station Boa Tarde Fox in October a proposal had been received from Old Trafford.
And it seems, as talks roll on with Barca, the Premier League club may not have given up hope of trying to sign the former Santos man.
"Other offers are coming in again, but Barca are gearing up to be able to reject and avoid them," Neymar Senior added.
