Arsenal star may have had his season ended as scan results confirm knee ligament damage
ALEX OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN faces a battle to play again for Arsenal this season - with his place in England's Euro 2016 squad also in doubt.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain reacts after picking up a knee injury against Barcelona
Oxlade-Chamberlain was preferred to Theo Walcott on the right wing for Arsenal's crunch Champions League clash with Barcelona this week.
But the 22-year-old produced a mixed display before being subbed for Walcott after 50 minutes.
Oxlade-Chamberlain missed a glaring early chance before picking up an injury in a tangle with Barcelona centre-back Javier Mascherano.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has made 37 appearances for club and country this season, scoring three goals.
But he has found it hard to nail down a place in Wenger's Arsenal, having struggled for injuries and form since he joined from Southampton in 2011 for £15million.
Oxlade-Chamberlain missed England's last two friendlies against Spain and England and could miss their next two, away at Germany and at home to Holland next month.
