Arsenal close to handing injury-plagued star surprise pay rise with huge £31.5m deal
JACK WILSHERE is reportedly close to agreeing a bumper £31.5million contract at Arsenal.
Jack Wilshere has not played for Arsenal all season
Midfielder Wilshere, 24, is yet to make an appearance this season after fracturing his fibula in pre-season.
He missed five months of the 2014/15 campaign with an ankle ligament problem yet the England international still managed 30 appearances for club and country that season.
Wilshere has two and a half years remaining of his current £90,000-a-week deal but is reportedly set to earn a pay rise.
The England star made his debut for Arsenal back in September 2008 and enjoyed a successful loan spell at Bolton the following season.
