NEWCASTLE'S relegation scrap has suffered a major blow after defender Fabricio Coloccini was injured during warm-weather training.

Coloccini, 34, has suffered a calf injury on the Magpies' break in Spain.
Steve McClaren's men are making use of their two-week fixture break to experiment in friendlies.
He is expected to miss Newcastle's trip to Stoke on March 2, while he may also sit out a clash with Bournemouth before next month's international break.
Newcastle sit 18th in the Premier League, below Norwich on an inferior goal difference and only a point ahead of rivals Sunderland.
