Ryan Giggs needs convincing to take Man Utd job
RYAN GIGGS will reportedly need convincing to manage Manchester United on a caretaker basis again, according to reports.
Ryan Giggs only wants the United job on a permanent basis
Louis van Gaal has come under mounting pressure and recent reports indicate Jose Mourinho has a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ in place with the club’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward.
Van Gaal faces a make-or-break week starting off with an FA Cup fifth round tie against Shrewsbury tonight (7:45pm).
It is thought Woodward could show Van Gaal the door if United suffer another humiliating defeat.
Giggs managed United on a caretaker basis at the end of the 2013/14 season after David Moyes was sacked.
However, according to The Sun, Giggs isn’t interested in managing United on an acting basis.
Louis Van Gaal - Spotlight on
The report suggests Giggs’ decision to spare Woodward the pain of making his second sacking in as many years could keep Van Gaal in the job.
Giggs, who spent 24 years as a player at Old Trafford, has been assistant manager since 2014.
