Inter Milan chief confirms Manchester United target Jose Mourinho's return
JOSE MOURINHO will return to Inter Milan this weekend.
Mourinho had two highly successful years at the San Siro as Inter Milan boss
The Portuguese manager is currently without a club after being sacked from the Chelsea job shortly before Christmas.
Mourinho made himself a hero at Inter during his two-year spell as manager with two Serie A titles and a memorable Champions League title.
And now Inter Milan's honorary president Massimo Moratti has revealed that the 53-year-old will be back in Milan this weekend.
"There has never been any [contact], so it is premature to talk about it,” Mancini said last month.
“When my contract expires, then maybe we’ll see.”
Should Mancini leave sooner than the end of his current deal, Inter would welcome Mourinho back with open arms given his success with the club in the past.
However, Express Sport understands that Jose Mourinho will take over from Louis van Gaal at Manchester United this summer if the Dutchman misses out on Champions League football this campaign.
And with United six points behind fourth-placed rivals Manchester City, Mourinho is said to be confident that he will be in charge at Old Trafford next year.
