The Portuguese boss is widely tipped to take over from Louis van Gaal at the end of the season.
Van Gaal’s contract expires after 2016/17 campaign but Mourinho has already told friends his move to Old Trafford is a “done deal.”
Express Sport understands Mourinho will earn £15.5million a season when he succeeds Van Gaal in the summer.
And on top of his well-paid salary, Mourinho is expected to be given a £300m warchest to bring in a host of international stars.
Mourinho is already making plans for when he takes the reins and according to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, Nainggolan is on his wishlist.

The 27-year-old midfielder, who started in Roma’s 2-0 defeat to Real Madrid last night, has been a key figure for the Italian outfit in the past two seasons.
Nainggolan, who has 17 international caps for Belgium, was named alongside Paul Pogba and Andrea Pirlo in midfield in the 2014/15 Serie A Team of the Year.
The Belgian is contracted with Roma until the summer of 2020.
