Chelsea Player Ratings: Willian, Costa and Pedro shine for Blues as Matic rediscovers form
EXPRESS SPORT brings you Chelsea's player ratings from their 5-1 win over Newcastle.
Diego Costa was in fine form for Chelsea
Courtois - An easy evening ruined by Townsend's sweet run and finish - 6
Ivanovic - Moved into central defence comfortably after Terry's injury, will be disappointed to concede late - 6
Cahill - Back in the team thanks to Zouma's injury and played well alongside Ivanovic - 7
Terry (c) - His first home game since announcing his exit and the Chelsea fans told the Blues hierarchy what they thought with constant pleas for him to stay - 6
Azpilicueta - Moved to his more natural right-back position when Terry came off and laid on the assist of Traore's late goal - 7
Fabregas - An impressive performance by the Spanish maestro but he was given so much freedom by Newcastle - 7
Matic - One of his best games in what has been a difficult season. Showed Guus Hiddink his worth with a commanding display - 8
Pedro - Arguably his best game in the Chelsea shirt and doubled his tally for the season with two cool finishes - 8
Willian - Chelsea's player of the season and once again he impressed. Newcastle's midfield couldn't get close to him - 8
Hazard - Still lacking confidence but kept plugging away and should have scored in the second half - 6
Diego Costa - The Costa of last season is well and truly back. Pace, power and menace. Coloccini would have been delighted when he came off in the second half - 8
