Jose Mourinho embarrassed by Louis van Gaal's situation at Manchester United
JOSE MOURINHO is not comfortable about the questions being asked of Louis van Gaal, according to reports.
Mourinho is good friends with Louis van Gaal but is likely to replace him
United’s stuttering form, dreary home performances and Champions League group stage exit have all led to questions about his future becoming asked at Van Gaal’s press conferences.
But since Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea shortly before Christmas, speculation over the Dutchman’s job has intensified and the Portuguese’s name has been mentioned in questions to Van Gaal several times.
And according to the Manchester Evening News, the self-titled ‘Special One’ is embarrassed about the situation in which his peer and good friend Van Gaal finds himself.
If Mourinho does not end up in Manchester this summer, Van Gaal is still expected to leave with assistant Ryan Giggs, Tottenham’s Mauricio Pochettino and Atletico Madrid’s Diego Simeone also in the frame.
But the ex-Chelsea boss is still odds-on favourite to fulfil his long-held dream of managing Manchester United when the current season ends.
