Chelsea miss out on international free transfer with £7.6m deal
CHELSEA are reportedly set to miss out signing Ezequiel Lavezzi after the Blues' target yesterday decided to move to China.
Ezequiel Lavezzi is set to leave PSG by the end of the season, if not before
Talks were held between Chelsea officials and the player's representatives in France last month.
A summer deal was thought to have been discussed for the Paris Saint-Germain player, who is out of contract at the end of the season.
However, they are yet to agree a switch with PSG and hope an agreement can be met before the Chinese transfer window closes on 26 February.
As for Chelsea, they are already set to lose John Terry at the end of the season after the club declined to renew his contract.
Bosses are reportedly still working on appointing a new long-term manager to replace Guus Hiddink, who will leave his post at the end of the season.
