Remi Garde's Aston Villa desperately pursue transfer of international keeper Lovre Kalinic
Aston Villa are trying to resurrect a deal for Croatian goalkeeper Lovre Kalinic.
The Hadjuk Split stopper saw a £4.9m switch shelved last week when he was denied a work permit.
But Villa are set to make renewed representation to the Football Association today despite having an appeal also rejected.
Kalinic, who is 6ft 7ins and a full Croatian international, would challenge Mark Bunn with Brad Guzan set to be allowed to leave the Premier League’s bottom club on loan if Remi Garde’s makes the signing.
