We'll frazzle arrogant French, says Mark
Motherwell boss Mark McGhee reckons arrogant AS Nancy believe that the Steelmen have no chance of beating them and qualifying for the UEFA Cup group stage.
McGhee thinks that the Steelmen’s disappointing start to the season has persuaded Nancy, 1-0 up from the first leg of their first round tie, that the return at Fir Park on Thursday will be a formality.[>

However, after notching their first home win of the season against St Mirren on Saturday, the ‘Well gaffer is convinced his players can kick-start their campaign and leave the French frazzled.[>
[>
“They may come here and try to get a goal,” he said. “I think they weren't terribly impressed with us, and probably rightly so. We didn't do ourselves justice over there. [>
[>
“They’ve been watching us when we played Celtic and Rangers and I think they were there when we lost to Hamilton as well and they’ll be thinking: 'We can beat them' and they would be justified in thinking that. [>
[>
“That’s why their attitude will be: ‘Let's go over there, get an early goal and shut up shop’. [>
[>
“With Nancy we have to take care about how we approach the game. We don't want to be over-cautious but if, for instance, we score early then they know that they have plenty of time in which to get one back. [>

“It’s vital; that we give ourselves opportunities to score goals while at the same time being vigilant against them scoring again.”[>
