Paris forget Jose Mourinho interest as Laurent Blanc discusses contract negotiations
LAURENT BLANC says discussions are progressing well over his contract renewal at Paris Saint-Germain.
Laurent Blanc says he is happy to sign a new contract at PSG
Blanc, 50, was understood to be considering his future at PSG as club bosses contemplated replacing him.
Chelsea's Jose Mourinho was one name reportedly on their shortlist should Blanc get the boot.
David Ginola even backed the Portuguese to make the switch by next summer.
But Frenchman Blanc insists he is ready to extend his stay at the Ligue 1 champions - blocking any move for Mourinho.
As for Chelsea, Mourinho's job is not under immediate danger.
However, the boss reportedly sent out enquiries to Inter and PSG as to their interest in his services.
Mourinho managed Inter for a successful stint before joining his previous club Real Madrid.
He has never managed in France but is understood to be keen on doing so before his career comes to an end.
