Major selection boost for Liverpool ahead of Crystal Palace clash
PHILIPPE COUTINHO will return to the Liverpool squad for Sunday's clash at Crystal Palace.
Philippe Coutinho scored twice for Liverpool in their 3-1 win at Chelsea last week
The Brazilian, who scored twice against Chelsea last weekend, was rested for the Reds' Europa League trip to Rubin Kazan.
There were reports he was suffering a hamstring problem and was not risked.
"It would have been great if I could have brought Phil Coutinho on, but I didn't want to risk him because he had a little hamstring issue – only a little one and everyone told me he is fit," manager Jurgen Klopp said last night.
Coutinho has returned to the squad and is expected to start alongside Adam Lallana, centre-back Martin Skrtel and midfielder Lucas Leiva, who were also all rested yesterday.
Manager Jurgen Klopp is still without captain Jordan Henderson, however, as the England international continues his recovery from a broken foot.
Liverpool provisional squad: Mignolet, Clyne, Skrtel, Sakho, Moreno, Lucas, Milner, Can, Firmino, Coutinho, Benteke, Bogdan, Toure, Lovren, Allen, Brannagan, Lallana, Ibe, Origi, Teixeira.
