Arsenal and Liverpool target to snub bargain £3.5m Barcelona move for shock free transfer
EZEQUIEL LAVEZZI will not be joining Barcelona this winter - but he won't be heading to the Premier League either.
Ezequiel Lavezzi Player Profile
Barca, along with Arsenal and Liverpool, have been linked with cut-price moves for the Paris Saint-Germain striker.
The 30-year-old's contract at PSG expires next summer and there appears little likelihood of him remaining in France.
But he won't be heading to Spain or England, according to Italian newspaper Tuttosport.
Wenger would likely be tempted by a cheap deal for Lavezzi come January but the player's wage demands are said to be the hurdle in any possible move.
Former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers was also said to be keen on Lavezzi before he signed Christian Benteke and the hype has died down over a future bid since Jurgen Klopp's arrival on Merseyside.
