Alexandre Pato can leave Corinthians for £18.6m
Corinthians have set a price-tag of £18.6million for Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato, who was linked with a move to Manchester United on deadline day.
"At the moment there are only enquiries," said deputy director of football Eduardo Ferreira. "But if a club comes in with an offer of €25m (£18.6m), we will let him go."
Meanwhile, Louis van Gaal has been dealt a blow in his £92.5m pursuit of Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo after he effectively ruled out a return to Old Trafford.
The Portuguese told Marca: "My dream is to retire at Real Madrid. I want to keep going for another five or six years. I feel good and useful in Madrid and I want to win here."
