The former Borussia Dortmund manager already agreed to a three-year deal at Anfield before getting on the plane in Germany and will earn £7million-a-season.
Liverpool have called a press conference for tomorrow morning and are expected to announce Klopp as the successor of Brendan Rodgers.
The Northern Irishman was sacked on Sunday following an 18-month slump since nearly winning the Premier League title in 2014.
Reds assistant manager Sean O'Driscoll and first-team coach Gary McAllister have left their posts ahead of Klopp's arrival as the German looks to bring with him Bosnian Zeljko Buvac and Peter Krawietz.

Klopp ended his seven-year spell at Dortmund at the end of last season after guiding the club to two Bundesliga titles and a Champions League final.
His first match in charge of Liverpool will be against Tottenham on October 17, when Premier League action returns following the international break.
