His first strike against Malmo was the 500th of his career to date.
The 30-year-old had gone three games without scoring for Real.
But after drawing blanks against Granada, Athletic Club and Malaga, Ronaldo rediscovered his goalscoring touch and to devastating effect.

After latching onto Isco's pass, Ronaldo fired home from close range.
Ronaldo added a second deep into stoppage time to equal Raul's record of 323 club goals for Real.
Los Blancos ran out 2-0 winners from that group stage encounter.
