Liverpool and Manchester United scuppered by swift £11m Roma deal
LIVERPOOL have lost out in their pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain full-back Lucas Digne in a blow that could have knock-on affects for Manchester United.
Coentrao, 27, is reportedly free to leave the Bernabeu as new manager Rafael Benitez makes changes ahead of transfer deadline day.

The Portugal international is understood to have been on United's radar, with the club having already failed to sign Madrid defenders Sergio Ramos and Pepe this term.
But Ligue 1 champions PSG are expected to sign up Coentrao by the end of the week, while they will receive a reported £11m from Roma if the Digne deal is made permanent.
