Liverpool flop Mario Balotelli running out of options as Inter Milan reject loan deal
INTER MILAN have rejected the opportunity to sign Mario Balotelli, according to reports.
Mario Balotelli - Spotlight On
Balotelli spent three seasons at Inter before joining Manchester City in 2010.
And it was hoped that Roberto Mancini - his boss during his time at City - might be willing to take him back at Inter.
According to Calciomercato.com, Balotelli's agent Mino Raiola approached Inter about a loan move after a disastrous first season at Anfield.
But it is claimed Inter are wary of both the player's wages and his potentially disruptive influence on the dressing room.
Mario Balotelli struggled at Liverpool
Liverpool are said to be willing to let Balotelli leave on a short-term deal after landing Danny Ings and closing in on Christian Benteke.
But they want his £75,000-a-week wages paid in full, ruling out a number of clubs, including Napoli, according to reports.
