Juventus to use £100m deal to capture Arsenal's record signing Mesut Ozil
MESUT OZIL could leave Arsenal for Juventus over his sponsorship deal with Adidas, according to reports in Italy.
Mesut Ozil Player Profile
The Germany international is said to have caught the eye of Juve manager Massimiliano Allegri, who is building on last season's title success by making a number of moves in the transfer window.
And Tuttosport report that the Turin club will bid for the Gunners' midfielder as they prepare for pre-season.
The newspaper claims Ozil's sponsorship deal with Adidas - who will manufacture Juve's kits from next season - will incentivise the transfer.
Juve ended their association with Nike last season when they agreed a six-year deal worth just shy of £100million with rival sportswear producers Adidas.
Ozil, alongside Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Manuel Neuer, is one of the company's landmark names.
Germany's Mesut Ozil is sponsored by Adidas
He joined Arsenal from Real Madrid for a club record £42.5m two summers ago but the Germany star has endured both good and bad spells at the Emirates Stadium.
He is seen as a replacement at the Juventus Stadium for Chile international Arturo Vidal, who may leave this summer for around £32m.
Meanwhile, Ozil has spent the summer helping disadvantaged children in Brazil as part of his work for the Mesut Ozil Foundation.
He paid for 11 kids to have life-changing operations, a year on from donating his World Cup winning bonus to Brazilian children.
