Man Utd line up shock £15m move for West Ham striker
MANCHESTER UNITED are weighing up a £15million move for West Ham striker Diafra Sakho, according to reports.
Diafra Sakho is a target for Manchester United
Express Sport revealed this morning that United were in the market for a new striker after letting Robin van Persie join Fenerbahce.
Top targets like Thomas Muller, Karim Benzema, Edinson Cavani and Harry Kane have proved difficult to lure to Old Trafford.
He is the one who can surprise everyone.
Christian Benteke, Saido Berahino and Charlie Austin are all still thought to be under consideration by Red Devils bosses.
But according to the Daily Mail, West Ham ace Sakho is also on the agenda.
Hammers co-chairman David Gold rates Sakho highly after landing him from the French second division last summer.
He said recently: "He is the one who can surprise everyone. I believe he can become a world-class striker.
"He has the passion and attributes to be one of the top forwards in the Premier League."
But United could try and lure the player away from Upton Park before the start of next season with a £15m offer after Van Persie's departure left just Wayne Rooney and James Wilson as recognised strikers in Louis van Gaal's squad.
